Music Therapy Internship Program
Orlando Health is pleased to offer a unique music therapy internship experience. Interns may choose between a pediatric specific internship or a joint internship spanning both the pediatric and adult populations. The pediatric internship will be held at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (OH/APH) and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies (OH/WPH). The joint internship includes rotations at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute and Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). At OH/APH and OH/WPH, interns will work with pediatric patients in Hematology/Oncology, Intensive Care, General Pediatric, and NICU units. The joint internship will also include work with oncology and trauma patients as well as general adult inpatients. Please indicate on the application your choice of internship (joint or pediatric only).

Teens and young adults make up over 25 percent of the population served at Arnold Palmer Hospital. The Child Life team offers a variety of events within the hospital and out in the community to help you get to know other teens and build lifelong friendships while having some fun in a safe and familiar environment.

Diagnosis & Treatments for Chest Wall Disorders
Your child’s pediatrician will start checking for this condition with a physical exam. They will also consider your child’s personal and family medical history. From there, their doctor may refer your child to a pediatric surgeon for further evaluation. Upon evaluation by the surgical team, your child may also be referred to other specialists including cardiology (heart), pulmonology (lung) and genetics when needed. Throughout this process, any of the specialists or their pediatricians may order one or more of the following tests to diagnose a chest wall disorder:
