The Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders

When illness threatens to impede your child’s growth and development, you can trust the oldest, largest and most comprehensive pediatric hematology-oncology program in Central Florida to provide first-rate care and support. At the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders, our multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists will care for your child’s medical, psychological and developmental well-being. And to make things easier, we offer 24/7 team coverage for cancer patients and care in Spanish.

Our holistic approach integrates patient and family counseling, and support groups into your child’s personalized treatment plan. With distinct units for pediatric inpatient and outpatient care, we’re able to accommodate your family’s unique needs. And through our partnership with Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center your child will have access to specialized radiation oncology treatments including proton therapy.

Our team will work to ensure your entire family will have the assistance needed to feel comfortable and prepared every step of the way. Follow-up programs are available after treatment is completed to monitor and manage any possible long-term side effects so your child has the best possible outcome.

Leading the Way

With Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, your child has the help of a recognized champion in hematology and oncology research. Your family’s care team is part of the first national effort of pediatric hospitals collaborating on groundbreaking pediatric oncology research, including research studying the genetic make-up of tumors to develop targeted therapies. We plan to expand the reach of these life-saving treatments by creating the largest pediatric clinical cancer research center in Florida.

In addition, as a designated member institution of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), we’re able to offer your child advanced treatment options through clinical research trials and shared learning programs that bring together a wealth of information from around the world. Through our involvement in COG and consortiums such as Beat Childhood Cancer and Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutics Investigators' Consortium (POETIC), we’re able to continue providing more effective treatment options. Each new treatment is another opportunity for children of all ages to enjoy happy and healthy lives.

We also offer Central Florida’s only officially designated Hemophilia Treatment Center, recognized by the Centers for Disease Control with funding provided by a number of federal health programs. Hemophilia treatment centers provide comprehensive care that includes preventive medicine and collaboration with community groups providing families with education and support.
