How We Can Help Your Child
Our pediatric rehabilitation specialists, also known as physiatrists, are experts in caring for children who have a wide range of congenital (present at birth) and acquired conditions that cause physical disabilities. We believe a multidisciplinary approach to treatment offers the best outcomes. We collaborate with our other pediatric specialists at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, as well as physical, occupational and speech-language therapists, to develop a care plan that’s built around your child’s unique condition.
Treatments We Offer
Our specialists optimize function by focusing on four key areas:
- Maximizing your child’s independence
- Increasing functionality
- Minimizing or eliminating pain
- Improving quality of life
After a thorough evaluation, a targeted treatment plan is developed for your child using a combination of therapies, as needed, including:
- Physical modalities

Our kid-friendly rehabilitation exercises and activities are interactive, engaging and fun. These science-based techniques are designed to help children who have difficulty with movement gain flexibility and control, improve strength and endurance and learn new skills.
