Your child’s condition may require admission if they are suffering from:

  • Complications with major surgery
  • Drowning
  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Severe infection
  • Trauma
  • Any other condition warranting critical care

Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

At the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), your family will find a state-of-the-art, family and child-centered facility with 17 private beds, each with accommodations for a parent. Our pediatric critical care unit is staffed by dedicated physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, chaplains and nutritionists. Your child’s care in the PICU is managed by our pediatric intensivists, physicians who are specially trained in pediatric critical care.
