  • Diagnosis & Treatments for Gastroschisis

    In almost all cases, doctors can diagnose gastroschisis before birth on a prenatal (pregnancy) ultrasound. If your obstetrician believes your baby has gastroschisis, you may need to undergo the following additional tests before your baby’s birth:

    In some cases, your child’s doctor will use a prenatal (pregnancy) ultrasound to diagnose esophageal atresia before birth. If symptoms appear after birth, your child’s doctor may use one or more of the following tests to confirm EA:

  • Diagnosis & Treatments for Meconium Ileus

    If your child experiences the symptoms of meconium ileus, their doctor will order an X-ray. This test will check for the presence of meconium in your child’s intestines.

  • Music Therapy Internship Program

    Orlando Health is pleased to offer a unique music therapy internship experience.  Interns may choose between a pediatric specific internship or a joint internship spanning both the pediatric and adult populations.  The pediatric internship will be held at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (OH/APH) and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies (OH/WPH). The joint internship includes rotations at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute and Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). At OH/APH and OH/WPH, interns will work with pediatric patients in Hematology/Oncology, Intensive Care, General Pediatric, and NICU units. The joint internship will also include work with oncology and trauma patients as well as general adult inpatients. Please indicate on the application your choice of internship (joint or pediatric only).
