Bio
Shawna Jenkins is a registered dietitian (RD) and licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) with the Center for Digestive Health and Nutrition at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She provides medical nutrition therapy to pediatric patients with gastroenterological diseases and conditions and also has experience with:
- Enteral nutrition management
- Childhood obesity counseling
- Patient education
- NICU follow-up care
- Growth monitoring and dietary assessment
- Dietary management of food allergies
She has cared for patients in Central Florida since 2019 and is passionate about helping infants, children and young adults maintain adequate nutrition and manage their GI conditions.
Shawna’s Training
Shawna received a bachelor’s degree in biological science from Florida State University in Tallahassee. She earned a bachelor’s in nutrition and dietetics and a Master of Science (MS) in nutrition and dietetics from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
About Shawna
She is licensed in Florida as a registered dietitian. She is a member of the Central Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and serves as outpatient pediatric dietitian representative for the Clinical Nutrition Council of Orlando Health.
Shawna has given regular presentations about pediatric nutrition within the Orlando Health hospital family.
Outside of work, Shawna enjoys spending time with her wife, cooking and exercising. She gives back to the community by volunteering with organizations such as Heart of Florida United Way and the Ronald McDonald House.

Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
