Bio
Dr. Salil Ginde is a board-certified adult congenital and pediatric cardiologist with Orlando Health Children’s Heart Institute. He has more than 20 years of experience, and his expertise includes:
- Adult congenital heart disease
- Marfan syndrome and related hereditary diseases of the aorta
- Echocardiography
- Single ventricle congenital heart disease
- Bicuspid aortic valve
- Tetralogy of Fallot
- Transposition of the great arteries
Dr. Ginde strives to provide holistic, personalized support to patients and their families to develop trust and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Ginde’s Training
Dr. Ginde earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, where he also earned a master’s in public health (MPH). Dr. Ginde completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Chicago Medical Center and dual fellowships in pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he also received two years of specialized training in clinical research.

Dr. Ginde is board certified in internal medicine and adult congenital heart disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. His professional memberships include the Adult Congenital Heart Association, Adult Alliance for Research in Congenital Cardiology and American Heart Association.
Dr. Ginde’s research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has served as an educator in pediatric cardiology and associate program director of an adult congenital heart disease program for a children’s hospital. He has received several Expert Clinician and Expert Teacher awards.
Outside of work, Dr. Ginde enjoys spending time with family, playing sports, hiking and going to farmers markets.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
