Bio
Dr. Priti Purushothaman is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with Orlando Health Children’s Neuroscience Institute Neurology. Her expertise includes:
- Psychiatric evaluation and diagnostic assessment
- Medication management
- Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Anxiety disorders
- Depressive disorders
- Trauma and stress-related disorders
- Telepsychiatry services
Dr. Purushothaman takes a family-centered approach, partnering closely with parents and caregivers while also empowering young patients to actively participate in their treatment. She aims to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that considers the child’s emotional, behavioral, academic and social context.
Dr. Purushothaman’s Training
Dr. Purushothaman received her medical training at Government Medical College in Bhavnagar, India. She completed a psychiatry residency, serving as chief resident, and dual fellowships in community psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
About Dr. Purushothaman
Dr. Purushothaman is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and board certified in psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, exercising, traveling and learning about different cultures and perspectives.
She is fluent in English and Hindi.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
