Bio
Marissa Perez is an audiologist with The Hearing Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders. She has 15 years of experience caring for adult and pediatric patients, and her specialties include:
- Specialized hearing care and management for all development levels and needs
- Standard audiometry
- Visual reinforcement audiometry
- Conditioned play audiometry
- Auditory brainstem response
- Ototoxicity monitoring
- Traditional hearing aids
- Bone-conduction hearing aids

Marissa has worn hearing aids since she was 3 years old and believes her experience with hearing loss allows her to nurture a more supportive relationship with her patients and have a deeper understanding of their challenges.
Marissa’s Training
Marissa graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she also received her doctorate in audiology (AuD).
About Marissa
She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed as an audiologist in Florida. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Audiology and Florida Academy of Audiology.
Marissa is an Orlando native, born in the same hospital where she now works.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, cat and dog. Marissa also likes cooking, drawing, painting and going to the beach, museums and art festivals.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
