Bio
Dr. Mahjabeen Khan is a board-certified pediatric neurologist and neurophysiologist with Orlando Health Children's Neuroscience Institute. Her specialties include:
- Pediatric epilepsy
- Neurodegenerative diseases
- Neuromuscular disorders
- Mitochondrial diseases
- Headache
- Movement disorders
Dr. Khan’s Training
Dr. Khan received her medical training at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. She completed a child neurology residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine / SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in Missouri, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Khan completed a neurophysiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
About Dr. Khan
She is board certified in neurology and psychiatry, with special qualifications in child neurology and clinical neurophysiology, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Khan is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and her professional memberships include the American Epilepsy Society, American Neurological Association, Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group, Child Neurology Society and American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Khan’s clinical research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and she frequently delivers national presentations related to her research and challenging pediatric cases. She also reviews articles for medical journals and trains residents and medical students.
Outside of work, Dr. Khan enjoys shopping, traveling, trying new restaurants and watching Bollywood movies.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
