Bio
Dr. Kevin Kokesh is a board-certified pediatrician and fellowship-trained pediatric pulmonologist with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. His specialties include:
- Pediatric pulmonology
- Pediatric sleep medicine
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Insomnia
- Asthma
- Airway inflammation
- Flexible bronchoscopy
Dr. Kokesh believes in family-centered care with families and patients being well-informed about the diagnostic process and treatment options. His volunteer work with sleepaway camps for children with chronic disease has informed his empathy-based approach to understanding and connecting with patients.
Dr. Kokesh’s Training
Dr. Kokesh received bachelor’s degrees in biology and neuroscience at Indiana University in Bloomington and earned his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowships in pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
About Dr. Kokesh
Dr. Kokesh is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Thoracic Society and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
He remains engaged in academic research and presentations on topics including infections such as non-tuberculous mycobacteria infection in cystic fibrosis patients, pediatric cancer, immunodeficiency, bronchoscopy and pulmonary histoplasmosis.
Outside of work, Dr. Kokesh enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, tennis, pickleball, cycling and running.
