Hubert S. Swana, MD, is a pediatric urologist with the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Urology Center. Dr. Swana serves as the director of pediatric minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Dr. Swana is board certified in urology, with specialty certification in pediatric urology.
After earning his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Swana completed a urology residency at Yale University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He worked as a urologist for the United States Air Force, 6th Medical Group, MacDill AFB. He completed a pediatric urology fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco and later worked as a clinical instructor.
Dr. Swana’s areas of expertise include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, hypospadias, hydronephrosis, pediatric kidney stone surgery, urinary tract infections and reflux, undescended testes, perinatal urology, complex genitourinary reconstruction, disorders of sexual differentiation and pediatric urologic oncology. He is actively involved in pediatric urology education and research.
He serves as a urology advisor for the University of Central Florida School of Medicine. He is the co-director of pediatric urology training for the University of South Florida urology residency. He serves as a board member of the Spina Bifida Association of Central Florida.
Dr. Swana has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America�? multiple times. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
