Dr. Dai Kimura is a board-certified pediatrician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, specializing in pediatric cardiac critical care. He also has expertise in:

  • Pulmonary hypertension
  • RSV infection
  • Diseases requiring intensive care
  • Pediatric critical care

Dr. Kimura’s Training

Dr. Kimura received his medical training at Tohoku University School of Medicine in Sendai, Japan. He completed both his residency in general pediatrics and his fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Miami Children’s Hospital. Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Kimura worked as a medical director of apheresis services and was a pediatric cardiac intensivist for 10 years at a children’s hospital in Tennessee.

Dr. Kimura is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is certified in pediatric critical care and in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. His professional memberships include the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Society for Apheresis.

His work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications. In his free time, Dr. Kimura enjoys cycling and saltwater fishing. He is fluent in English and Japanese.
