Overview
The Aerodigestive Center offers multidisciplinary evaluation and management of problems involving the upper gastrointestinal tract and airway. Our specialized team is composed of Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Ear, Nose & Throat and Craniofacial physicians and surgeons, as well as Speech Pathologists.
Indications for referral are:- Voice disorders and airway disorders
- Swallowing disorders
- Noisy breathing (stridor, stertor, recurrent or prolonged croup)
- Aspiration, including suspicion of microaspiration (chronic choking, gagging, cough)
- Chronic Cough
- Gastroesophageal reflux with extraesophageal manifestations
- Velopharyngeal insufficiency
- Complex infant and childhood apnea
