U.S. News & World Report Releases 2019-2020 Rankings

Orlando, FL (June 18, 2019) – U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has ranked Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in its 2019-2020 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings published online today. The hospital was awarded with designations in three pediatric specialties.

  • #38 Pediatric Cardiology & Heart Surgery
  • #40 Pediatric Orthopedics
  • #47 Pediatric Pulmonology

The Best Children’s Hospitals rankings originated in 2007 by U.S. News & World Report to help families of children with rare or life-threatening illnesses find the best medical care available. This is the only comprehensive source of quality-related information on U.S. pediatric hospitals.

“We are honored to be ranked as a Best Children’s Hospital for the tenth year in a row,” said Cary D’Ortona, president of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer. “Our priority has always been to provide the highest level of care for our patients and we’re thankful that U.S. News & World Report continues to acknowledge the hard work and commitment that our team gives to our community.”

The 13th annual Best Children’s Hospitals rankings recognize the top 50 pediatric facilities across the U.S. in 10 pediatric specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery and urology.

The U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals rankings rely on clinical data and on an annual survey of pediatric specialists. The rankings methodology factors in patient outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, as well as available clinical resources and compliance with best practices.
