Bio
Valerie Laferriere is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and certified pediatric nurse practitioner – primary care (CPNP-PC) with the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Her specialties include:
- Bone marrow transplants (autologous, allogeneic, cord blood and haploidentical)
- CAR-T cell therapy
- Cellular therapy lab (on-site collection facility and cell manipulation)
- Leukemias
- Lymphomas
- Solid tumors
- Hematological disorders
- Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy
- Lumbar puncture
Valerie has more than 20 years of experience working with young patients in a variety of roles, including child life assistant at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer and registered nurse at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.
She strives to provide quality care and open communication. Valerie enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and being a part of their journey through the toughest times.
Valerie’s Training
Valerie earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and received her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
About Valerie
She is certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner – primary care by the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board and licensed as an APRN and RN in Florida.
Outside of work, Valerie enjoys spending time with family, visiting Disney theme parks, working out and traveling. She also volunteers for her church and children’s school.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
