Nicole Lucchesi, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a pediatric cardiac surgery nurse practitioner with The Heart Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She specializes in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery and provides assessment, treatment, and education for pediatric patients with chronic cardiac congenital conditions. She has a special interest in patient and family pre- and post-operative education.
Nicole earned her bachelor’s and master’s of science in nursing degrees (MSN) from the University of Central Florida. She is certified as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) by the Florida Board of Nursing and as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
In addition to patient care, Nicole serves as a research sub-investigator for studies related to pediatric congenital heart disease and cardiac surgery. She also has published numerous articles about pediatric health and wellness in community-based newspapers.
