Bio
Dr. Michael Gurian is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. He uses medical imaging to look inside the body to diagnose illnesses and conditions and recommend treatment for his adult and pediatric patients.
Since 2011, Dr. Gurian has served as a pediatric radiologist at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. He has expertise in:
- Pediatric radiology
- Radiography
- Fluoroscopy
- Sonography
- Computed tomography (CT) scans
- Nuclear medicine
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Dr. Gurian understands the diligence needed when capturing and interpreting medical images and studies each one with the utmost care so patients can be diagnosed in a timely manner.
He also is medical director of radiology at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer. In that role, Dr. Gurian is responsible for clinical oversight of professional radiology services for pediatric imaging, including physician recruitment, workflow and accreditation.
Dr. Gurian’s Training
Dr. Gurian earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City and performed his pediatric radiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Gurian also graduated cum laude when he earned his bachelor’s degree in health and society from the University of Rochester in New York.
About Dr. Gurian
Dr. Gurian is certified in pediatric and diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology and the American Association for Physician Leaders.
Dr. Gurian has had research published on topics that include acute appendicitis, necrotizing fasciitis and thrombosis.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, exercising and traveling. He believes being a father has enhanced his role as a pediatric radiologist and has allowed him to connect to patients and their families.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
