Marlene Fernandez is a licensed physician assistant at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Neurology. Working under the direction of physicians and surgeons, she helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnoses, treatments and consultations.
Marlene’s Training
Marlene earned her bachelor’s degree in physician assistant (PA) studies at CUNY School of Medicine in New York City, where she completed pediatric rotations at Harlem Hospital Center and Urban Health Plan. She pursued her master’s degree in PA studies from the Touro School of Health Sciences, also in New York City.
Before joining Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, Marlene was on Orlando Health’s pulmonary and critical care team, working with critically ill COVID-19 patients at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). Prior to coming to Orlando, she was on the pulmonary and critical care team at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

Marlene holds a physician assistant license from the Florida Board of Medicine and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. The American Heart Association has certified her in basic life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. Marlene is fluent in English and Spanish.
