Bio
Karen Mingo is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She has cared for patients in the pediatric intensive care unit for 10 years, and her duties include:
- Caring for children with acute and chronic illnesses
- Performing assessments and physical exams
- Ordering diagnostic tests and labs
- Diagnosing and treating children
- Educating and communicating with families
Karen has a special interest in the acute care of infants after her son was born prematurely and spent two months in the neonatal intensive care unit. She enjoys meeting new people and helping them during this critical time.
Karen’s Training
Karen earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and a Master of Science in nursing (MSN), with special certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner, at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She also received post-graduate pediatric nurse practitioner acute care certification from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
