Bio
Benjamin K. Rhee, MD, FACS, is chief of pediatric urology with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and board certified by the American Board of Urology. Prior to joining Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, he served as director of robotic pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital of Illinois for the last 10 years. He specializes in robotic pediatric urology surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System.
Dr. Rhee performs complex minimally invasive procedures for children with congenital or acquired urological conditions affecting the kidney, ureter, bladder and genitourinary system. This sophisticated surgical technology typically results in patients experiencing reduced pain, shorter recovery times and hospital stays, and less scarring.
After graduating with distinction with a bachelor’s degree in anatomical sciences from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Dr. Rhee earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed a surgical internship at the Navy Medical Center in San Diego and then served as a battalion surgeon with the First Armored Assault Battalion, Third Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan. When he returned to California, he completed residencies in general surgery at the University of California, Davis-East Bay and in urology at the Naval Medical Center in Oakland and the University of California, San Francisco.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
