Bio
Ashley Saunders is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) at the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She provides care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients and her specialties include:
- Leukemias
- Lymphomas
- Solid tumors
- Hematological disorders
Ashley has clinical interests in cancer research and childhood cancers in underserved communities. She credits her experience as an athletic trainer for setting a strong foundation for how to provide comprehensive patient care while developing strong provider-patient relationships.
Ashley’s Training
Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She earned her master’s in physical education and sport management from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, and her master’s in physician assistant studies from Gannon University in Ruskin, Florida.
About Ashley
Ashley is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed as a PA. Her professional memberships include the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology and American Academy of Physician Assistants.
She has been a medical volunteer for runDisney marathons and the Special Olympics World Summer Games.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading, traveling, attending Broadway shows and going to the movies.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
