Dr. Rachel Prete is a board-certified pediatrician at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children who has been treating children in Central Florida since 2009. A hospitalist, she specializes in caring for critically ill children while they are admitted to a hospital and has experience in:
- Coordinating in-hospital care
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses
- Ordering and interpreting medical tests
Her osteopathic training also means Dr. Prete focuses on looking beyond symptoms to treat the patient as a whole, which may include making lifestyle adjustments in order to achieve certain wellness goals.
Dr. Prete’s Training
As an undergraduate, Dr. Prete studied microbiology and cell science at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida, and completed a pediatric residency at Orlando Health.
