Dr. Lawrence Spack is a board-certified pediatric critical care medicine physician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. His expertise includes:

  • Pediatric critical care
  • Sepsis awareness and treatment
  • Submersion injury in children
  • Minimizing anxiety and pain during hospitalization

Dr. Spack believes in treating every child as if they were his own. He is passionate about quality improvement, sharing his knowledge with trainees and families, and collaborating with all healthcare providers to improve outcomes for children.

Dr. Spack’s Training

Dr. Spack received his medical training from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico. He completed his general pediatrics residency at the Children's Medical Center at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York and his fellowship in pediatric critical care at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin / Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

About Dr. Spack

Dr. Spack is double board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

He has participated in numerous studies and delivered presentations on topics such as pediatric trauma, sepsis, submersion injury and pharmaceutical therapies. His work has appeared in publications including the Journal of Pediatric Emergency Care, Journal of Critical Care Medicine and Journal of Biological Chemistry.

Dr. Spack serves on several committees for Orlando Health. In 2010, he received the Exemplary Physician Colleague Award from Orlando Health as voted by the nursing staff. He is a clinical assistant professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee.
