Bio
Dr. Joseph Bernardo is a board-certified pediatrician and fellowship-trained pediatric critical care medicine physician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He cares for seriously ill infants and children, and his areas of expertise include:
- Diagnosing acute and life-threatening illnesses
- Stabilizing critically ill patients
- Sepsis
- Respiratory failure
- Management of chronic conditions including asthma and diabetes
He is committed to providing high quality and compassionate care to his young patients.
Dr. Bernardo’s Training
Dr. Bernardo earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology and cell science at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He received his medical degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee and completed his pediatrics residency and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer.

Dr. Bernardo is board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Society of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He has volunteered to support LGBTQ+ healthcare initiatives.
Outside of work, Dr. Bernardo enjoys spending time with family, distance running and supporting the Gators football team.

Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
