Bio
Dr. Gustavo Muñoz Monaco is a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist with The Heart Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. His areas of expertise include:
- Pediatric cardiac anesthesia
- Neonatal and infant cardiac anesthesia
- Ultrasound
- Sedation protocol
- Anesthetic management of tumors

Dr. Muñoz’s Training
Dr. Muñoz received his medical training at Universidad Francisco de Miranda in Venezuela. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and his fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Muñoz is board certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications and his professional memberships include the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Muñoz’s service to others includes medical mission trips to Peru.
Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family. Dr. Muñoz is fluent in English and Spanish.
