Bio
Donald A. Plumley, MD, FACS, is a pediatric surgeon with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery with a specialty in pediatric surgery. He serves at the medical director of pediatric trauma, the medical director of children’s surgery and surgical quality director at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer.
Dr. Plumley earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. He went on to complete a surgical residency where he served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in surgical metabolism and critical care, both at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He also completed a pediatric surgery fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis.
Dr. Plumley has co-authored numerous medical publications. He is a member of the Florida Association of Pediatric Surgeons, Florida Committee on Trauma, American Pediatric Surgical Association, Chairman of Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network, Shepherd’s Hope volunteer and a Fellow of the American College of Surgery.
