Bio
Dr. Dana Barry is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist and pediatric critical care medicine physician with Orlando Health Children’s Heart Institute. She treats young patients with life-threatening illnesses and injuries, and her specialties include:
- Pediatric congenital heart disease
- Congenital heart defects
- Arrhythmia
Dr. Barry believes in caring for the patient and their family as a unit. This includes focusing on physical, psychological and emotional health to promote the best outcome.
Dr. Barry’s Training
Dr. Barry earned a bachelor’s degree in life sciences at Pennsylvania State University in University Park and received her osteopathic medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She completed a pediatrics residency at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Barry also completed fellowships in pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiology at Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware, where she was chief fellow her final year in both programs.

Dr. Barry is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and she is board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric critical care medicine and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional memberships include the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, Disney theme parks, college sports and traveling.
