Dr. Christopher Mart is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist at The Heart Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, specializing in pediatric cardiology care and 3D echocardiography.
He joins Orlando Health with more than three decades of medical experience and in that time has served in several director positions and established and ran a neonatal echocardiography training program.
Dr. Mart is skilled in treating a variety of pediatric heart conditions, including:
- Heterotaxy syndrome
- Tricuspid atresia
- Hypertrophic cardiopathy
- Hypoplastic left heart syndrome
He believes in providing world-class care to every patient he treats.
Dr. Mart’s Training
Dr. Mart earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, where he also received bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry. He completed a pediatric residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and performed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Syracuse.
About Dr. Mart
Dr. Mart is certified in pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and his professional memberships include the Western Society of Pediatric Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.
His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals nearly two dozen times on topics that include transcarotid balloon valvuloplasty, transesophageal echocardiography and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. He has been a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Cardiology since 1995.
Outside of work, Dr. Mart enjoys fishing, lifting weights, exercising and spending time with his family.
