Bio
Dr. Anne Mortensen is a board-certified pediatrician at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, specializing in complex and pediatric-to-adult transition care. Her expertise includes:
- Developmental and behavioral pediatrics
- Complex care/children with special health care needs
- Behavioral health
- ADHD
- Autism spectrum disorders
Dr. Mortensen's patient philosophy includes recognizing that mental health is part of good health. She believes that being trusted by parents to take care of their children is both an honor and a responsibility to be taken very seriously.
Dr. Mortensen’s Training
Dr. Mortensen earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating cum laude. She completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Detroit Medical Center, which is affiliated with Wayne State University.
About Dr. Mortensen
Dr. Mortensen is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional memberships include the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has held assistant professorships in the pediatrics departments at the Central Michigan University College of Medicine and Wayne State University School of Medicine. Her research has appeared in scientific journals and peer-reviewed medical publications.
Outside of work, Dr. Mortensen enjoys antiquing, cooking and going to Walt Disney World.
