Bio
Dr. Andrew Bigham is a board-certified pediatrician and fellowship-trained pediatric critical care physician at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He cares for seriously ill infants and children, and his specialties include:
- Diabetic ketoacidosis
- Traumatic brain injury
- Sepsis
He strives to provide compassionate and evidence-based care that prioritizes the needs and dignity of each child and their families.
Dr. Bigham’s Training
Dr. Bigham earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and a master’s degree in biology at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. He received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Bigham completed a pediatrics residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, where he served as chief resident his final year. He also completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he was recognized as outstanding fellow of the year.
About Dr. Bigham
Dr. Bigham is board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
He has led and contributed to research and teaching in pediatric critical care, focusing on improving ventilator weaning and blood pressure monitoring through data-driven teamwork. He also has presented nationally on these topics, delivering numerous educational lectures to medical staff.
Outside of work, Dr. Bigham enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, baby and their Bernese Mountain Dog.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
