Dr. Adaobi Okobi is a board-certified pediatrician with Orlando Health Primary Care Pediatrics. She has more than 10 years of experience and believes in helping underserved communities and promoting diversity. Her expertise includes:

  • Developmental and behavioral pediatrics

Dr. Okobi’s Training

She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Dr. Okobi received her medical degree with distinction in community service from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York. She completed a pediatrics residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and served as chief resident at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York.

About Dr. Okobi

Dr. Okobi is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and licensed by the Florida Department of Health. Her professional memberships include the Central Florida Pediatric Society and Central Florida Pediatric Advocacy Coalition.

Dr. Okobi has been a faculty pediatrician in the residency program at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children since 2014. She also served as medical director of the Teen Xpress program, overseeing a pediatric mobile unit that provides free medical care to adolescents in at-risk middle and high schools.

Dr. Okobi served as outreach chair and faculty leader for Orlando Health's pediatric diversity council. She is co-chair of the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

She has been the keynote speaker at several conferences and received the 2024 Women on the Move award from ONYX magazine.
