Bio
Mark C. Clark, MD, FAAEM, FACEP, is the medical director of the Emergency Department at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He is board certified in pediatrics and emergency medicine.
Dr. Clark earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia through the University of Pennsylvania. He also served six years in the U.S. Army Medical Corp.
Previously, Dr. Clark was an emergency medicine staff physician at Frankford Hospital and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He joined Orlando Health in 1988 as an attending trauma physician at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and has served as medical director of pediatric emergency medicine since 2004.
Dr. Clark has published numerous articles for medical journals and textbooks. His clinical interests include pediatric asthma, difficult airway, neonatal fever, bronchiolitis, dehydration, pediatric diabetic ketoacidosis, pediatric surgical emergencies, sport injuries and limping child.
He is a founding member and fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (FAAEM), a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP), and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
