Bio
Jennifer A. Villar, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and serves at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Endocrinology and Diabetes Center. Her clinical interests include short stature, early puberty and obesity.
Dr. Villar earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida. She completed her pediatric residency at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Emory University in Atlanta. While at Emory, Dr. Villar investigated maternal factors influencing weight gain, growth and pubertal development in rhesus monkey infants and presented her findings at national and international medical forums.
Dr. Villar is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, Endocrine Society, Obesity Society and Central Florida Pediatric Society.
