Yoreidy Tavarez, PhD, is a clinical child psychologist in practice with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She cares for children with a broad range of conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, anxiety disorders, depression and medical comorbidities. After evaluation and diagnosis, she conducts evidence-based treatment that may include cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, parent training and multicultural considerations.
Dr. Tavarez earned her doctorate and master’s degree in clinical psychology from Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, graduating magna cum laude. She completed an internship at the Multicultural Wellness Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a residency at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics in Jacksonville, Florida.
A frequent speaker at meetings and conferences, Dr. Tavarez is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, Society of Pediatric Psychology, and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
