Bio
Shannon Faulkinberry, MD, MPH, is a board-certified pediatric critical care physician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She cares for children after surgical procedures or accidents and those with serious medical conditions. She has a special interest in neurocritical care along with medical education, simulation and sedation.
Pediatric Critical Care Specialist
As a pediatric critical care specialist, Dr. Faulkinberry has extensive experience stabilizing, diagnosing and treating children with acute and life-threatening conditions such as sepsis, drowning, severe respiratory compromise and much more.
Dr. Faulkinberry’s Training
Dr. Faulkinberry earned her master's degree in public health and medical degree from the Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Science Center in Shreveport, where she remained to complete her residency in pediatrics. Her time at LSU was followed by a fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University of Florida UF Health Shands Children's Hospital in Gainesville.
About Dr. Faulkinberry
Dr. Faulkinberry is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both general pediatrics and pediatric critical medicine. In addition, she is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the National Neurotrauma Society.
She has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on multiple research projects related to traumatic brain injury and presented her research at National Neurotrauma Society meetings. She also has presented at other professional meetings and published her work in peer-reviewed journals.
When not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, watching LSU football, visits to Disney, Cajun food and traveling.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey.
