Dr. Shannon Faulkinberry is a board-certified pediatric critical care medicine physician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Her expertise includes:

  • Stabilizing critically ill patients
  • Diagnosing acute and life-threatening illnesses
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Critical-care ultrasound
  • Procedural sedation

Dr. Faulkinberry believes in providing compassionate care and offering support to her patients’ families.

Dr. Faulkinberry’s Training

Dr. Faulkinberry earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) and received her medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she also completed her pediatrics residency. She completed her fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

She is double board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Critical Care Medicine and National Neurotrauma Society.

Dr. Faulkinberry has published and presented research on topics including pediatric traumatic brain injury, sepsis, acute illness and intensive care. She has served on several committees at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer.
