Follow-Up After Cancer Treatment (FACT) Program for Survivors

Cancer survivors and their families receive care and assistance beyond treatment. As a member of the Follow-Up After Cancer Treatment (FACT) Program, Laura works with pediatric, adolescent and young adult survivors who are more than two years post-treatment. She records a detailed history, performs physicals and orders relevant lab work and other diagnostics.

From this information, Laura creates comprehensive summaries of cancer treatment for survivorship follow-up in adherence to the Children's Oncology Group guidelines. She also coordinates follow-up for patients in clinical trials and works in collaboration with specialty practices.

Oncofertility Program

Many adult survivors of pediatric and adolescent cancer may want to start a family. Laura is the oncofertility program coordinator and plays an integral role in assisting with referrals, education, care coordination and program development, helping patients and families navigate their options.

Oncofertility Program

Many pediatric cancer survivors wish to start families and have children of their own one day. But some cancer treatments can affect a child's fertility (ability to have future children). This is why it is important to think about your child's fertility before cancer treatment starts.
