Benjamin K. Rhee, MD, FACS, is the chief of Pediatric Urology and director of robotic surgery at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Dr. Rhee is board certified by the American Board of Urology, with specialty certification in pediatric urology. Prior to joining Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, he served as chief of pediatric urology and director of robotic pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital of Illinois for the last 10 years. He specializes in robotic pediatric urology surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System.

Dr. Rhee performs complex minimally invasive procedures for children with congenital or acquired urological conditions affecting the kidney, ureter, bladder and genitourinary system. His area of expertise also includes hypospadias, pediatric stone management, treatment of vesicoureteral reflux, complex genitourinary reconstruction, and pediatric urologic cancer surgery.

After graduating with distinction with a bachelor’s degree in anatomical sciences from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Dr. Rhee earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed a surgical internship at the Navy Medical Center in San Diego and then served as a battalion surgeon with the First Armored Assault Battalion, Third Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan. When he returned to California, he completed residencies in general surgery at the University of California, Davis-East Bay and in urology at the Naval Medical Center in Oakland and the University of California, San Francisco.
