Welcome to Illuminate

Living in Central Florida for the past 10 years, it has amazed me to see the different people and cultures from all over the world represented right here in my own backyard. Many of the people that call this area home have come from places I've only dreamed of. They speak different languages, have different cultural and religious values and have totally different perspectives on the world around them. I love to hear their stories, get a glimpse into their lives and see the world as they see it.

One thing I've noticed to be true, no matter where they've come from or where they've been, is that people are passionate about their children. It is the tie that binds every nationality, culture, religious and political group.

As a parent myself, I know that we instinctively search for the best we can give our children. Good is no longer good enough; hoping for the best doesn't cut it. We strive to provide the best this world has to offer for our children, whether it is medical care, education or opportunities.

However, one of the most challenging aspects of parenting is determining how to make the best decisions for your child's health. With influences from television, news sources, friends, family and internet giving often conflicting information, it becomes difficult to differentiate fact from fiction. We desire the best for our children, yet we are often not sure how to decide what is best.

As a team member at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, I have seen that we as healthcare providers also find our purpose in providing the very best to the children in our community. We passionately care for the littlest ones, and our halls are filled with doctors, nurses, administrators, cleaning staff and a variety of other team members who are here solely because of that passion. Each of us have a different skill or service to offer, but we all offer it in hopes that it makes a difference in a little one's life.

As Arnold Palmer Hospital continues to serve the needs of the community, we would like to offer our resources as healthcare professionals to help parents give their children the healthiest life possible. Our hope is to partner with parents and walk with them along their journey by providing the education and resources they need to make sound health decisions for their children.

We have created a space where you as parents can talk to us as health professionals, and we can hear your voice to determine what you would really like to know. We will utilize the expertise of our physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, therapists and other caregivers to provide you with the most current medical information. We are committed to the health of all children in our community, so let us partner with you in caring for your children. Please take a moment and tell us what you would like to hear from us.
