Community Involvement

Healing Beyond the Hospital Walls

You don’t have to come to the hospital to benefit from the efforts of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The hospital and its affiliates are committed to making health and wellness accessible to the broader Orlando and Central Florida community. You might recognize us while we sponsor outreach events and programs, such as:

  • Safety and injury protection: Through outreach, we routinely provide bike helmets and fittings, clinics on bike safety and care seat safety, pedestrian safety and car seat safety.
  • Healthy Families programs: Based on the successful Healthy Families America model of child abuse prevention, our local outreach Healthy Families Orange and Healthy Families Osceola help prevent child abuse and neglect, increase the rate of childhood immunizations, reduce family stress levels and reduce the incidence of repeat teen pregnancy in targeted communities throughout Orange and Osceola counties.
  • Teen Xpress: This mobile health unit provides free medical and mental health care for at-risk youth — giving vulnerable teens a safe and private medical touchpoint.
