A pediatric neuropsychologist is a licensed psychologist with expertise in the development of brain structures and systems. Neuropsychology services at Arnold Palmer Hospital include developmental testing, pediatric neuropsychological testing, and psychoeducational testing. Assessments can take several hours to conduct and are adjusted to your child’s age. Depending on the results, your family’s neuropsychology consultant may recommend other evaluations (e.g., occupational therapy), make suggestions for school-based accommodations and related services, provide referrals for psychiatric evaluation or general counseling, or offer resources regarding academic remediation/tutoring.
