And 1 in every 700 infants is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. Our Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery specialty practice has a subspecialized team, providing state-of-the-art care for infants, children and adolescents with a variety of congenital and acquired facial conditions.
If you’re pregnant and have received a diagnosis of cleft lip, cleft palate or head shape abnormality, we offer prenatal counseling to get you the support you need. In addition to maintaining an active clinical practice, the Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery team is also highly involved in ongoing facial reconstructive surgery research. Team members actively participate in the education of residents, medical students and dental students. The division currently hosts a fellowship training program in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery.
